Made in late 1980's
With Snap-OverCarry Case,
New Ribbon and Original Instruction Book
This model was one of the last manual portable typewriters to continue being made. This particular machine comes from near the end of production. Introduced in the mid 1960's by the Japanese manufacturer Silver-Reed, these machines were produced in their millions. They were not only branded as 'Silver-Reed' but also sold as 'Imperial', 'Royal' and many stores 'own brands'. When in production, this machine was the basic line from the Silver-Reed range. It features a 42-character keyboard and Black/Red ribbon selector. As an 'entry level' machine with no unnecessary features, it is all you need to get the job done.
This machine appears to have very little use and still performs like new. A matching Powder Blue plastic 'snap over' carry case is included. Replacement ribbons are still widely available for this popular typewriter.
