Snippets from programmes using my machines

The first edition of the Endeavour series - showing the early career of TV detective Morse - featured one of my machines,
a Remington Model 5.
It provided a vital clue to the solving of a murder case by the Oxford-based sleuth

The mis-placement of the letter 'e' helped Morse to trace the origin of hate letters sent to one of the characters, but - of course - the mis-alignment was done specifically for the show, as I would never let one of my machines leave my workshop with such a fault!

THE DURRELS
The first episode of this series on ITV in April 2016, featured one of my machines
- a
1920's Corona Three .
There were actually three machines - one for close shots, one for general shots
and one machine from which I had to remove the 'X' keylever, linkage and typebar.
Of course, for the purposes of the plot they are all the same machine !

I am often called upon to supply vintage typewriters for use in films and TV programmes, and I always take great care to ensure that the machines are absolutely correct for the period during which the scenes are set.
